Welcome to TankCharts.com ("TankCharts", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, services, and any data, content, or tools made available through them (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use our Services.

1. Community-Contributed Data

TankCharts does not create or produce tank charts or associated store data directly. All charts, tank details, and delivery information are user-submitted and community-driven. The accuracy, completeness, and legality of this content are solely the responsibility of the submitting users.

We serve as a platform for fuel haulers, store managers, and dispatchers to collaborate and manage delivery planning, not as a source of verified compliance or technical certification.

2. User Responsibilities and Warranties

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and legality of the data you submit.
  • You warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to submit data on behalf of a given location, tank, or store.
  • You understand and consent that submitted data may be shared with:
    • Other users authorized for the store
    • The broader TankCharts community, when applicable
  • TankCharts is not responsible for damages or consequences resulting from use of submitted data.

3. Store Ownership and Moderation Rights

TankCharts allows store profiles to be claimed by verified owners or managers. Once a store is claimed:

  • The store owner gains moderation rights over all associated content.
  • Owners may edit, delete, or moderate tank charts, delivery data, notes, and user feedback.
  • TankCharts reserves the right to request verification and resolve ownership disputes at its sole discretion.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any resulting loss or damage.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

By using TankCharts, you agree not to:

  • Submit fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful data
  • Access, tamper with, or misuse non-public parts of the platform
  • Sell or misuse platform data without permission
  • Abuse or harass other users

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, particularly for violations of these Terms.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee accuracy, security, or uninterrupted operation. TankCharts is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material updates via email or on the site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
