Delete Your Account
Effective Date: June 1, 2025
You have the right to permanently delete your TankCharts account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what happens when your account is removed.
How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your account, send an email to support@tankcharts.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the following in your message:
- The email address associated with your TankCharts account
- Your full name (as registered)
- A brief statement that you wish to permanently delete your account
We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation to your email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Is Deleted
Upon account deletion, the following data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your name and email address
- Your company association and user role
- Any tank readings, delivery records, or calibration observations you submitted
- Your account preferences and settings
Data That May Be Retained
Certain records may be retained for a limited period after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Transactional records required for financial or legal compliance
- Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be linked back to you
- Information necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or disputes
Retained records are kept for the minimum period required and are not used for any marketing or profiling purposes.
Effect of Account Deletion
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted:
- You will lose access to all TankCharts features and your historical data
- If your account is linked to an organization, your access to that organization's data will also be removed
- You may re-register at any time with the same email address, but no prior data will be restored
